Newest Cocktail and Bar Trends

It’s hard to find any articles about this post-COVID, so take these predictions from the beginning of the year with a grain of salt. However, here’s a few new ideas to look out for.

  • Minimalistic cocktails–Mixology is on its way out. New, experimental ideas are slowly going away, and the old reliables have returned. Expect to find traditional cocktails like Manhattans, Old Frashioneds, and other standards on drink menus.
  • Mobile bartending–Mobile bartending is a new form of self-expression in craft bartending. Think of it like hiring a DJ for your party, but instead, you have a bartender to create exclusive, handmade drinks for your guests.
  • Sustainability–There’s been a renewed focus in adapting sustainable practices at bars themselves, as well as choosing more sustainable liquor providers and more. Along with more respect for the environment, there’s also been an increase of concern about the mental and physical wellbeing of bartenders and servers. Restaurants are focusing more than ever on creating a positive environment for everyone to enjoy.
